Representing: BJØRK
This girl has been a favourite for a while. We’re proud to now represent Bjørk commercially, across commissions, brand collaborations and selected projects. Read her story as she becomes part of our shared world of culture, creativity and brand building.
Written by KURATED BY :
We first met Bjørk when she was still an apprentice. Since then, we have followed her closely through larger productions, automotive work, content projects and a memorable VOYAH journey through Northern Norway. Most recently, we worked together on D_b during the World Cup.
KURATED BY will represent Bjørk in the market, handle enquiries and help develop the commercial side of her practice, while keeping her photography, film and creative point of view at the centre.
We sat down to talk about where she is now, what she wants to build next and how we see the collaboration developing.
KB: We have known each other for a long time. Do you remember what you thought when we first started working together?
BJØRK: I think what I noticed early was that the projects were never only about taking pictures. There was always a bigger idea, a context and a reason for why something should look or feel a certain way. That was interesting to me from the beginning.
KB: That is probably also why we have kept coming back to you. You understand the world around the image, not just the image itself.
BJØRK: I like being involved early. If I understand the brand, the people and the intention behind the project, I can contribute much more than if I arrive when everything has already been decided. The strongest images often come from understanding what is actually happening around you.
KB: Your work has also moved increasingly closer to music, younger brands and cultural projects. Is that something you have actively looked for?
BJØRK: Definitely. I am interested in people and environments that feel real. Music, fashion, cars, travel, youth culture — those worlds overlap all the time, and I like working where the boundaries are not too fixed.
KB: The VOYAH trip through Northern Norway became a good example of that. It was technically a content production, but it became much more about the journey, the people and the landscape.
BJØRK: Exactly. You need a plan, but you also need enough freedom to react to what happens. Some of the best material comes from moments you could never have written into a shot list.
KB: The same was true with D_b during the World Cup. The project already had a strong cultural story, and your role was to document it without making it feel over-produced.
BJØRK: That is something I care about a lot. I want the work to feel present. You can still be very deliberate about composition and storytelling without removing the reality from the moment.

“Joining Kurated by feels like a natural next step. I’m excited to professionalise my career and create more space to focus on the work I care about.”
KB: That thinking is also central to how we want to work together going forward. Kurated by will represent you commercially, handle enquiries and help develop opportunities around your work. What do you want that to give you?
BJØRK: More space to focus on the actual work. I want to shoot, develop ideas and grow creatively. Having someone who understands both my work and the business around it means I can spend more time doing that.
KB: And from our side, you become part of the Kurated by platform. Not only as a photographer brought into individual assignments, but as someone we represent and develop projects with over time.
BJØRK: That is what makes it interesting. It feels like something we can build together rather than just moving from job to job.
KB: Which is probably the best place to start.
